 Mardi Gras is coming up on Tuesday, February 12 here in the United States, what are the creators planning with these fancy costumes? Could it be related to the new Mall Island which could or couldn't have something to do with Monster Carnival?

We've cut a nifty trailer for the book adaptation of Skullduggery Island, which, as you can see, stars the best-looking pirate this side of the Barbary Coast. I assume everything works out really well for me at the end of the book. Right?

Happy Roald Dahl day!

Today is Roald Dahl Day -- the birthday of one of the greatest storytellers of all time! Roald Dahl was the man behind classic stories like James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, The BFG, and a whole lot more, including our favorite, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

In fact, we love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so much that we've decided to make a whole Island out of it! Consider this our Roald Dahl Day gift to you.

First off, pun intended. The new PCB post from earlier today got me pretty excited! It appears that Lunar Colony is a lot closer then most people thought!

I am still holding to my theory that it will be released on August 9th! You can see my prediction from two weeks ago here for why I theorized it will be released this Thursday! So this makes it look like my prediction wasn't as crazy as it sounded, being from two weeks before! 

So in this post it appears that an Astronaut (most likely you, but maybe Captain Gordon) is fixing the leaky hoses of a space shuttle floating above Planet Poptropica.  How will you control your Poptropican while they are floating in space?? This could be quite fun! We will have to wait (until August 9th?) to find out!

After looking back at previous release dates, Poptropolis Games and Wimpy Boardwalk were both released 14 days after their respective Members Only Ger Pack, so my guess is that Lunar Colony will be released August 9th, 14 days after the Members Only Items were actually released in the store. Lets see how close my guess is!

First of all there is a gazoo of new things in the store.

We have a few new things to share this week in the Poptropica Store. First, Poptropica Members can now get their exclusive Poptropolis Games gear!

These Member-only items include a snazzy Wrestling Singlet costume, a handheld Discus that you can throw around the screen, and the incredible Plant-a-Statue power, which lets you bring a little bit of the Poptropolis Games to any Island in Poptropica.

But that's not all! There's also a new costume in the store, available to everyone with Membership or credits.

Cool, eh? Is it just me or does the first one look like Hydra from Captain America and the Avengers (saw that last night, it was awesome!).
 There is also some more news!
In the Poptropica Friends Preview video, the sample username put in was "MonsterCarnival2012". You can still friend this person who has won three islands and answered three quiz questions. This has made a lot of speculation. First off... Monster Carnival 2012??? Is it coming back in 2012? Also the preview image for the video shows the word Monster Carnival 2012. Many people believe that this means it is defiantly coming back.
And finally..
Our Island Guide, Game Guide, and Rare Items pages have been updated. They are completely up to date so go on over and check it out! Also I have added a new page called "Poptropicans" so check it out and tell me if I should continue or delete it.
