Mega Fighting Squirrels?

What’s up guys? While cruising through Night Watch Island, I found a new advertisement building for the upcoming movie The Nut Job. You can also find the building on some other islands including Back Lot, Virus Hunter, and Mocktropica.

Once you enter the building talk to the grey squirrel, Surly, standing beside the door. He will tell you that he has a new sure fire plan to get the nuts. Your instructions are to use a nut catapult to shoot the nuts over to Surly the squirrel. This can get really tricky, but do your best to launch the nuts while the catapult is just perfectly in the green area of the base.

Once you launch ten nuts into the bag you win! You receive two prizes, the Surly Power and the Pistachio Costume!

The Surly Power shows a little cut screen of Surly dropping down to steal a nut on ropes and pulleys Mission: Impossible style! The Pistachio Costume is just what it looks like, a big Pistachio that you can walk around in all day PSY style. Squirrels?

Lastly, there is a new piece of news on the PCB. They realize that we may have seen through their little Mega Fighting Bot ruse pretty quickly, but that doesn’t mean that they love those little bots any less! You can now find some Mega Fighting Bots extras on the Mocktropica Info page, their very own wallpaper and poster! You can find the wallpaper here and the printable poster here. They also promised that the Mega Fighting Bots themed Members Only Bonus Quest is coming soon, so stay on the look out for a new bonus quest featuring some fighting robots!

4th of July Special: Captain America Costume

First off, to all those who are celebrating today, have a great 4th of July!

It appears that Poptropica is also celebrating giving out a special prize that is perfect for today! A Captain America costume!

The Disney XD Non-Stop Summer advertisement building had been updated to include the preview for the new Disney XD series Avengers Assemble, premering this Sunday at 11AM/10 Central.

Once you watch the video, you receive the new Captain America Outfit! When you click on the “make me a hero” button, you are inserted into Captain America’s costume, but you will return back to what you were wearing before when you enter a new room/area. That means if you want to be able to wear the costume anywhere you go you have to press Ctrl + Shift + S, but be warned, this will do away with what you were already wearing and replace it with the Captain America Outfit!

The Creators also posted a reminder that no 4th of July celebration is complete without fireworks! You can head on over to the Poptropica Store and pick up the gold card now!

Legends of Chima Advertisement

There is a new advertisement on the Main Streets of Poptropica! It appears that players up to 14 years of age have access to this new advertisement. This new ad I keep talking about is of course for the new show LEGO Legends of Chima, premiering July 10th on Cartoon Network.

Once you enter the advertisement you are challenged to a Chima battle. You have to aim and launch your "speedorz" to get the chi, which is basically a blue floating orb. You get 5 chances per stage and once you win all three stages you get the Speedor Power and Laval Costume!

Get your fart guns ready, because there are two new advertisement buildings on Poptropica!

First off, there is a new ad for Despicable Me 2, in theaters July 3rd.
Inside the building there are three different games you can play.  The first of which is Bee-Do: The Emergency Minion response game. This game is very similar to the old game Donkey Kong. You have to climb up through Gru’s lab using the arrow keys and put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. Make sure to dodge the falling cups that come at you! Pick up cupcakes, unicorns, and bananas for bonus points.  Your prize is your very own Minion Costume!


The next game is a training mission from Lucy, and agent of AVL. This game is like a scavenger hunt.  You have to find four items that have been scattered throughout the mall.  They are a lipstick taser, a blue car, a freeze ray, and an AVL badge. You are provided with a radar which shows you where all of the items are located so it isn’t too difficult. Once all four are found you win the Lipstick Taser Power which lets you give other Poptropicans a little shock and the Fart Gun Power which lets you knock over other Poptropicans with that gnarly stink.

The last game is Bop-a-Minion. It is very similar to Wac-a-Mole. You have to hit the minions as they pop up. Hitting minions holding coins will earn you in game money towards unlocking new minions to bop. Minions holding a 200 sign are worth 200 bonus points. Make sure not to hit minions holding bombs because that will mean game over for you. Your prize for this game is the Freeze Ray Power which lets you freeze other Poptropicans in blocks of ice!

Next is a new building for Disnney XD’s Non-Stop Summer. Once you enter the building on Steamworks Island you can hop on a bike and make your way to the adventure. Once you have won all of the games, you get a special bonus prize, but that will have to wait until July 8th when the last game is released.

I see, it’s clever because the bike tires make an infinity sign.

The first stop on this summer road trip is at the Kickin’ It: Race the Black Dragons game. This game is a plain old race to the finish. Beat the Red Dragon bike to the finish by hitting green speed boosts and dodging puddles and pot holes. If you win you earn the Kickin’ It High Kick Power!

Next up on our road trip is the Crash and Bernstein Burp Along game. Hit the arrow keys in the correct order to copy Bernstein’s burp pattern. Once you match him burp for burp six times you win the Crash Follower.

The last stop on our road trip as at the Lab Rats: Virus Eddie game. This is a matching game, so you have to find and match both of pictures of each character. Once you have matched all four pairs you win the Adam’s Laser Vision Power which lets you shoot optic blasts where ever you point your mouse.

Which mini-game is your favorite to play? I personally enjoyed the Bop-a-Minion.

The Croods... Experience!

COMIC KID

When you first click on the building to enter, you have a choice of three common rooms to enter… the Jungle Room, the Tree Top Room, and Sun-Lit Room! Before entering you get a short description of some of the characters.
Once in the first room, the Jungle Room, you can head to the right to get Belt’s Da Da Daa power and Eep’s Music Shell. Belt’s power shows a cut screen with Belt saying “Da Da Daa!” Eep’s item is a hand held item. When you press the space bar, you bring it up to your mouth and blow through it. You can also head to the top to watch the punch monkeys do their thing (as seen in the 3rd photo in the creators blog post), or check out the costume!

The second room, the Tree Top Room, has a beautiful view of the stars. You can head to the right to get the Sandy’s Speed Crawl power and the Gran’s Amazing Cane Item. The Sandy’s Speed Crawl power makes you run across the screen on all fours. Gran’s Cane is a hand held item. When you press the space bar, it spins around. You can also head to the top to see some shooting stars, or head to the top left where it says “click here for costumes.”

This then sends you to the last room, the Sun-Lit Room. In here you can go to the left where you can get the Douglas’ Stick Trick Power, which gives you a hand held stick that is thrown when you press the space bar and returned to you by Douglas. The Grug’s Super Punch Power lets you super punch the ground when you press the space bar. Also go to the top and watch the Macawnivore attack, or head to the left and get the two costumes!

Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja Advertisment

There is a new advertisement for Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja on main streets around Poptropica! There are three different games, each with their own prize.

When you walk in, go to your left till you see Randy. He will say that he “dropped the Ninjaomicon in something stanky and needs our help putting it back together.” This is like the game in Time Tangled when you put the painting back together. You have to put two pages back together and you get two minutes for each. When you win that you get the Ninjaomicon prize. When you use this a page of the book pops up with a piece of Ninja Wisdom. 

The next game is “Ninja Target Practice”. In this game you have to throw Ninja Rings at monsters and bad guys. You have to hit 20 of them in a minute, but be careful because if you hit Randy or his friends three times you lose! The prize for this game is the Randy Cunningham Ninja Suit. 

 

The final game is the longest and hardest. Go over to the gym and Randy says you have to come save Howard from the robot gorillas that have cornered him in the gym. The trick is you can’t let them see you so you use the objects around you to break them so you can go on past. Here is how to defeat each of the gorillas:

1^st: Walk over to the water fountain by the gorilla and click on it to spray water on the gorilla and short circuit it.

2^nd: Slide the oil drum off from the crate beside the gorilla so it falls on it and you can pass.

3^rd: Hop on top of the light that has the wiring that looks loose and it will fall on the gorilla.

4^th: Pull the switch by the “DANGER: Water Pressure” sign. The sprinklers will come on and short out the gorilla.

Once you make it to Howard, you win. The prize this time is the Ninja Kick ability. You now have all three prizes and have completed the Advertisement!

ParaNorman Advertisement

There is a new Advertisement for ParaNorman. It can be found on the main streets of the following islands: Shark Tooth, 24 Carrot, Super Power, Nabooti, Big Nate,Wimpy Wonderland, Shrink Ray, Mystery Train, Ghost Story, S.O.S, and Wimpy Boardwalk.

When you walk in talk to Norman. He says that he has a problem, that he dead are rising from their graves! He then says to talk to his friend Neil.

Neil

 After you talk to Neil you start the game. You have to click to dig holes to “return zombies to the ground” so they don’t reach the archive building.  There is a maze of graves that zombies walk through, but the catch is that you cant dig a hole in the same spot twice same spot twice so the zombies make a safe path to walk on (also zombies see holes coming and don’t go that way so dig the holes as close as you can to the zombies).

Be careful, the very last zombie is twice as fast as all the others so make sure to get ready! Once all of the zombies are reburied you win the prizes, Bub Follower and Special Zombie Power. Here is a photo.
